Ready made or custom pressed
Our veneers are used for interior finishing, joinery, furniture, boat building, shop fittings and large scale commercial fit outs. We can supply selected, quality-matched standard or fancy layup veneered panels on plywood substrates and other wood constituted products (such as MDF and particleboard). We can also press veneer onto existing panels. As well as supplying ready-made products, GVP can manufacture to order. Our veneers can be applied according to your instructions, to create decorative layups, marquetry or flat panels. At GVP we are not limited to standard panel sizes. We will press special size panels to fit the needs of your project, and we can work from plans to create a matching flow in specific rooms or areas.

Our maximum standard press size is 3m x 1.3m, but larger panels can be made by arrangement.

A world of veneers to choose from
Through our international partnerships, we are able to provide any commercially produced wood veneer species, or reconstituted wood veneer pattern, in the world. We can also produce veneer from your own timber stock, so that you can achieve a perfect match between veneer panels and solid timbers. This is a complex process, but the result is worth the effort.

No job too small or too big
GVP is equipped to assist with projects of all sizes. We can do small, highly decorative burr veneer or inlay jobs. We can also produce high volume, special pattern layup panels in any quantity. Whether you're producing one table or a thousand kitchens, give us the opportunity to quote.

A special connection with the marine industry
In New Zealand, GVP sells the Plyman brand of marine related plywoods and panels. We can supply panels from 1.5mm to 50mm thick, interior plywoods and veneered boards, special pre-finished white laminate and panels, as well as paper-backed flexible wood veneer sheets (Waveneer) in a wide range of species. GVP has also developed a range of PVC marine foam core, nidaplast core, and end grain balsa core veneered panels for hi-tech, super lightweight components in marine joinery and fittings. This is an exciting first for New Zealand, and possibly worldwide, because it eliminates the need for boat builders to vacuum bag or press their own components.

In association with Pyrotech Ltd we have also developed and custom make sound barrier panels with plywood faces and sound barrier core products. These are used extensively in superyacht construction.
