GVP Waveply

GVP has recently acquired a new line of Bendyply...we call it "GVP Waveply".  This is an amazing product and can be used in many applications.  Waveply has been around the plywood industry for 20 years but to develop a product with such flexible characteristics is unique and therefore sought after.

Waveply was developed for use in the marine industry to better form curves for marine interiors.  By creating the curve with the ply and then laminating another layer of Waveply over the original gives strength in the cabinetry.  It can either be finished off with a layer of Waveneer (paper infused natural veneer) or sanded and faired in the normal manner for painting.

Waveply is used in commercial applications for counter fronts, columns or any application that requires some curvature to give it a special look.

GVP constantly holds a good stock of Waveply in 4mm, 6mm and 9mm thicknesses and you can either buy the sheets in "short grain" or "long grain" depending on your requirement.

GVP Waveply will wrap around a coke can...it's that good!

Budget Lining Ply

Budget Lining Ply is just that.  It is the perfect plywood for lining your garage, shed, playroom, ceilings or any application where an economical solution is required with a finished look.

Budget Lining Ply is available in 3 thicknesses....9mm, 12mm and 18mm.  It has an Okoume natural veneer face that is a pinky/straw colour and a core material of mixed poplar plywoods.  It is designed for interior applications only.

Budget Lining Ply is very well priced in a sheet size of 2440x1220mm.

Fitzroy Yachts Chooses Goldcore Light Plywood

Fitzroy Yachts NZ have chosen Goldcore Light Plywood for their latest G50 project.   The Dubois Naval Architects designed G50 is a 50 meter Flybridge sloop with interior design and styling by the owner.

Goldcore Light plywood was chosen over composite honeycomb materials for all interior panels and cabinetry because of it's ease of work with standard wood working tools, it's excellent characteristics when used on CNC machines, it's light weight of 400 kg/m3 and the clear financial benefits over composite panels.

Goldcore Light Plywood

GVP introduces "Goldcore " plywood to the international market. Goldcore Light is the latest development in lightweight plywoods. Specifically manufactured for the marine cabinetry/ fit out market it is unique in a number of ways.

Firstly it weighs an amazing 400kg/m3 but what is more amazing is that this has been achieved with a multiply makeup.

Its multiply makeup provides stability and flatness.

It has both an "A" grade 1mm thick face and back suitable for overlaying or painting.

Goldcore Light complies with BS1088 standards for lightweight plywoods and is stamped as such
